Q -Why “And Frame”?
A - And Frame was originally part of The Manchester Drone Company (TMDC). We tried combining the drone business with our new framing venture and The Manchester Drone (& Frame) Company was born which from a marketing point of view, wasn’t ideal 😂 so we quickly separated the two and was left with just “And Frame” which will always be a nice hint or nod to TMDC 😉
Q - What's your favorite way to spend a weekend?
A - Relax 🧘♀️ 😂 I try to be very boring 😴 But in my defence as well as the business, I also work full time as a Stock Manager through the week and I’m a married dad of 4, so even in the rare event of a free weekend, my wife usually fills it 😂
Q - Do you enjoy what you do for a living?
A - I do, my “day job” as a Stock Manager is very fulfilling, I’ve progressed well over the years and have climbed the management ladder 🪜 It’s a great business to work for and I have a great team.
Separately, And Frame was born organically, I love being hands on when I can and I’m really interested in managing the books, developing the website, the branding, marketing 😂 I’m self taught with it all, so I’m learning on the job. Our sales have grown month on month, so I spend time scrutinising the P&L and making sure we’re on a good path.
Q - What's a book that you'd recommend?
A - I’ve actually spoken about this recently with the dramatised series being on TV. The best, most moving book I’ve ever read is by far The Tattooist of Auschwitz. A story of love and resilience in the most devastating environment imaginable.
Q - Are you a morning person or a night owl?
A - A bit of both
Q - Best place you’ve visited?
A - I’m been fortunate to have visited a lot of nice places, both in the UK 🇬🇧 and overseas. I think Canada 🇨🇦 is amazing, the States 🇺🇸 fantastic but also Norway 🇳🇴 is a really beautiful country. My wife is Czech 🇨🇿 so one day I’m hoping to have a place over there.
Q - What's your favorite type of cuisine?
A - I’ll eat most things, but I do enjoy a Wagamama!

A - See if I remember this right, “A boy comes to me with a spark of interest, I feed the spark ⚡️ and it becomes a flame 🔥, I feed the flame and it becomes a roaring blaze” - Cus D’Amato
